# Cloudflare crawler data

> Connect a Cloudflare zone to measure AI crawler requests in AI Traffic.

Cloudflare supplies edge request data to **AI Traffic** for a Website behind Cloudflare. This is separate from the Google traffic property Connection in Project Settings.

## Connect and check the source

1. Open the Project's **AI Traffic → Sources** view. Choose Cloudflare in the source picker and authorize access to the intended zone.
2. Check the zone name in the **Cloudflare edge** source card. If the first crawler sync has not completed, use **Sync now** or return after the scheduled sync.
3. Check **Last synced** and the crawler results before interpreting a change. A connected zone with no completed sync does not yet prove that its crawler data is current.

Choose one crawl source for a Website. The source picker also offers a server **Log drain** for sites without Cloudflare; using both would double count requests. A log drain can verify crawler identity by IP, while the Cloudflare source supplies edge observations without that verification.

If the zone cannot be found, confirm the connected Cloudflare account has access to it. If authorization has expired or a sync keeps failing, use **Reconnect Cloudflare** and then retry **Sync now**. Disconnecting stops later syncs; already collected crawler data is retained. Review Cloudflare bot controls separately before changing a live zone's traffic rules.
