# Review publishing and track the live page

> Review a draft, publish to your connected site, and check Published content for AI citations.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Goal:** Review a draft, choose how it is published or marked live, and track the page in Published content.
>
> **Who it's for:** People checking the handoff from a finished draft to a tracked live page.
>
> **Video:** About 45 seconds.

## Before you start

Open Content Studio in the correct Project. Choose the opportunity or Article you want to work on. To publish directly, you need a connected publishing destination.

</video>

> [!NOTE]
>
> The video uses an example Project. The publishing actions in this recording are simulated. Opening the ledger does not publish a draft.

## Steps

**1. Separate drafts from live pages**

Review the finished draft before making it a live page.

**2. Review the Article first**

Open Articles and pick the draft you want. Read the title and the body before you publish.

**3. Choose the publishing action**

Review the destination before confirming Publish. If you published the page yourself and the Article has no CMS link, use More actions → Mark as published and record its live URL. This records publication; it does not upload content.

**4. Open Published content**

Published content shows the blogs we found live on your site. Source shows how we know it's yours.

**5. Check AI citations and Traffic**

AI citations and Cited by show which AI tools cite each one. Check Traffic later for visits. Publishing alone doesn't mean results.

## Expected result

You have reviewed the Article, published it to the intended destination or marked an already-live page as published, and checked its Source in Published content. Use Traffic to inspect visits after publication.

## If you get stuck

Read the exact error and check the CMS before retrying. Follow [Recover a failed publication](https://docs.videntic.com/troubleshooting/publishing.md). For an Article published outside Videntic, see [Resume and update an Article](https://docs.videntic.com/playbooks/content-studio/resume.md).
