Goal: See which Traffic sources are available before you interpret a report.Who it’s for: People connecting or checking Traffic sources.Video: About 42 seconds.

Before you start

Open Traffic in the correct Project. To interpret visits, first check that the relevant source is connected and has collected data.
The video uses an example Project. Review source status before connecting or installing anything.

Steps

1

Open Setup first

Traffic puts your site visits, search data and AI bot activity in one place. Click Setup to see what’s connected.
2

Separate Analytics and Search Console

Google Analytics gives you visits, leads and revenue. Search Console shows what people search to find you. You’ll want both.
3

Check the website pixel

The Videntic pixel tracks visits live, including today. The Developer guide shows how to install it. Collecting means visits are coming in.
4

Read AI bot source status

AI bot data shows which AI crawlers read your pages. That’s bots, not people, and it doesn’t mean you got cited.
5

Return to the reports

When Setup looks good, go back to Overview. If a report is empty, check its source connection and status before interpreting it.

Expected result

You have checked the sources for sessions, search queries, pixel visits, and AI bot requests, and identified any missing connection before interpreting the report.

Open in Videntic

Sign in first. Then open your Project and go to Traffic. Open Traffic setup.

If you get stuck

Check the source, collection state and URL scope before interpreting an empty report. Follow Diagnose missing traffic data.

Follow a visit to the page behind it

Read AI referrals, pages, Search, and AI bots.
